"It’s really not about who are you" (2020) indaga il concetto di identità come prodotto per lo più inconsapevole di tutte le relazioni che ci hanno toccato nella nostra vita.
La domanda su noi stessi viene ridefinita traducendosi da "Chi sei?" a "Perché sei?"
Nasciamo tutti come lavagne pulite che vengono poi scritte dal passato dei nostri altri significativi. Non siamo mai uno statico e marmoreo “chi” ma siamo un complesso, dinamico e meraviglioso intreccio di “perché” fatto da tutte le mani che ci hanno toccato, tutte le parole dette-scritte-sussurrate che abbiamo ascoltato, tutti i cieli senza nuvole e quelli tempestosi con cui i nostri occhi hanno colliso.
Chi è mancato coesiste ancora con chi è vivo, i cerchi familiari si ripetono all’infinito. Un’eredità solo in superficie fatta di gesti e dettagli che le immagini possono cogliere.
L’unico modo per capire il “chi” è sbrogliare la matassa dei “perché”.

"It’s really not about who are you" (2020) investigates the concept of identity as a product mostly unaware of all the relationships that have touched us in our life.
The question about ourselves is redefined by translating from "Who are you?" to "Why are you?".
We are all like clean black canvas, written by the past of our significant others, we are never a statical and marble "who" but a complex, dynamic and marvellous tangle of "why" threads made by all hands that have touched us, all the spoken-written-whispered words we've heard, the cloudless or stormy skies our eyes collided with.
Who passed away coexist with who is still alive, family circles repeat themselves endlessly.
An heritage made by gestures and details that only on the surface images can capture.
The only way to understand the "who" is to unravel the "why" tangle.
